The Simtronics GD10P is designed for combustible gas detection (hydrocarbons) on offshore- and maritime installations. This type of infrared Gas Detector differs from all other models because it utilises silicon based solid-state infrared sources.
The Simtronics GD10P IR Point gas detection is supplied with worldwide performance- and hazardous area approvals, such as ATEX, IECEx, Inmetro, UL and CSA. Because of the MED-B and MED-B wheelmark approval, it can also be used for maritime applications. The GD10 is suitable for use in SIL 2 and SIL 3 systems. An industry standard HART® interface is used for configuration of the optical fast response time of the GD10 and special fault levels as well as access to extended maintenance data.
